Origins The ground around the "Wirtshaus in der Au" today is identical to that of the Factory-Areal zu Wagegg, a military workhouse which was done away with in 1789 and transferred into the hands of the factory owner Brügelmann where a spinnery and a dyeing works were set up and continued until 1816. The business was not blessed with success and the large factory complex was divided up into 10 private holdings and became private property. |
