Munich- Beergardens, Breweries, the rolling Isar, "Wiesn"... In this beautiful city there is one of the most attractive bavarian pubs: in 1901 the first beer known as the „Auer Kraftbier“was served in the Wagner brewery as it was then called. The popular Munich comedian and actor Karl Valentin was one of the guests. Of course it still continued on in a bavarian fashion in 1993 when the „Wirtshaus in der Au“ opened as a pub for friends, foreigners and neighbours whether young or old. Serving Paulaner beer , the friendly staff with a good sense of humour and an authentic kitchen where the cooks put their heart and soul into the cooking, it has become one of the most popular local restaurants. This includes a beergarden, Jazz-“Frühschoppen“ and the largest dumplings in Munich.
